The ruins of the Lyceum of Aristotle, Athens

Athens, Greece · 335 BC

Learning while moving,
thinking and applying.

Aristotle’s Lyceum — where knowledge was never a lecture. It was a walk, a question, a discovery. The peripatetic method: learn by doing, understand by moving, master by applying. That principle is the soul of Korethi.

The Name Behind the Mission

Two civilizations
that taught each other

Korethi fuses West Africa’s oldest learning civilization with the Greek root that gave us mathematics.

Sankóré University in Timbuktu served 25,000 students in 989 AD — the world’s first democratized university, where knowledge belonged to everyone. The ancient Greeks sent Pythagoras and Plato to North Africa to learn before they returned to teach in Athens. One name. One mission. Learning illuminated — for every child.

Ko · re

From Sankóré — the illuminated scholar. Those whose intellect was lit by knowledge. Knowledge open to all.

-thi

From μάθησι — mathisi. The living, active act of learning. The same root that gave humanity mathematics.

“The illuminated act of learning — for every child, everywhere”

We studied every platform.
Then we built better.

Korethi takes the absolute best from each competitor — and eliminates every gap, weakness, and failure parents have been living with.

SAT Prep & ACT Prep

Why Our Test Prep Is Different

Every other program teaches your child how to take the test. Korethi builds what the test was designed to find.

01
Diagnostic First. Always.

Most prep programs hand every student the same content. Korethi starts with a diagnostic that finds every specific skill gap your child has — then builds a custom path to close those gaps before test day. The SAT and ACT are separate diagnostics, separate tracks, and separate paths. Never combined, never generic.

02
Connected to Everything Your Child Already Knows

Because Korethi teaches reading comprehension, writing, math, and science from PreK through 12th grade, SAT and ACT prep is not a separate product bolted on. It connects directly to your child’s full learning profile. Gaps from earlier grades get found and fixed — not papered over with test strategy.

03
Built on the World’s Deepest Teaching Traditions

Korethi draws on nine teaching traditions from six continents — Singapore CPA math, structured literacy, Socratic inquiry, and more. These traditions build the cognitive skills the SAT and ACT were designed to measure. Your child is not learning how to take the test. They are becoming the student the test was built to find.

04
Full LD Support on Both Tests

Dyslexic learners, students with ADHD, twice-exceptional students — Korethi’s learning difference pathways apply throughout both prep tracks. Extended time accommodation guidance is built in. No red scores, no shame, no anxiety-driven drilling. Every wrong answer is a data point that improves the path forward.

05
Parent Reports After Every Session

After every prep session — SAT or ACT — you receive a plain-language report showing exactly what was practiced, what gaps were addressed, and what comes next. No educator jargon. No decoding required. You are never left wondering whether the prep is working.

06
Mastery Before Timing. Always.

Timed practice does not come first. Skills come first. Korethi builds mastery of each concept, confirms it, and only then introduces timed conditions. A student who practices speed before mastery learns to make mistakes quickly. A student who masters first, then practices speed, is ready for test day.

“The score follows from closing the right gaps. That is what we focus on.”

What Families Are Saying

Real children. Real growth.

“Before Korethi, my daughter would cry every time we opened a reading app. Within three weeks she was reading to her stuffed animals at bedtime. I didn’t think that was possible this year.”

— Parent of a 7-year-old with dyslexia

“The placement assessment picked up that my son was skipping phonics gaps we’d never caught. We’d been drilling the wrong things for two years. This was the first time a program actually told us why he was stuck.”

— Homeschooling parent, Texas

“My son has ADHD and has never voluntarily sat with any learning program for more than five minutes. He asked to do Korethi again after dinner. On a Friday.”

— Parent of a twice-exceptional 10-year-old

“My son reads beautifully — he’s always been a strong decoder. But he’d finish a chapter and have no idea what happened. Korethi’s comprehension track was the first thing that actually targeted that gap. Within a month his teacher noticed a difference.”

— Parent of a 9-year-old, Georgia

“I never thought about teaching my 8-year-old about money until Korethi made it look like a game. Now she asks me why things cost what they cost. She has a savings goal written on her mirror. I did not teach her that — Korethi did.”

— Parent of a 8-year-old, North Carolina

Questions

Everything Parents Ask

Is the assessment really free? Is there a catch?
Yes — completely free. The 14-step placement assessment is free forever, for every child. No credit card. No trial that auto-converts. You’ll get a personalized report emailed to you after completion, and two weeks of free learning access to start. There is no catch.
My child has dyslexia/ADHD/ASD. Is Korethi actually built for them — or just marketed that way?
Built for them. The assessment identifies learning differences directly, and the platform routes to specific pathways — not a one-size-fits-all experience with an LD checkbox. Dyslexic learners get structured literacy sequences. ADHD learners get brain breaks, shorter task windows, and movement prompts. ASD learners get predictable structure and reduced sensory overwhelm. These are architectural decisions, not cosmetic ones.
What age range does Korethi cover?
PreK through 12th grade — ages 3 to 17. Korethi places children by skill level, not age or grade. A 14-year-old who needs foundational reading support gets exactly that, with age-appropriate content. A 7-year-old reading at a 5th-grade level advances freely. Grade level is context. Skill level is the compass.
How is Korethi different from Khan Academy, IXL, or i-Ready?
Three key differences: First, Korethi is the only platform that combines ten subjects — reading, reading comprehension, writing, math, financial literacy, Spanish, science, computational thinking and coding, and dedicated SAT and ACT prep as separate tracks — each with LD-specific pathways under one roof. Second, Korethi never shows a child a failing score — mistakes are reframed, not penalized. Third, Korethi is built for parents, not schools — you have full visibility and a direct communication loop. Khan Academy doesn’t diagnose. IXL shows red scores. i-Ready is school-facing. Korethi is parent-facing and child-centered.
Does Korethi offer SAT prep and ACT prep?
Yes — and they are two separate tracks, because the SAT and the ACT are two different tests. The SAT is administered by College Board. The ACT is administered by ACT Inc. They have different structures, different sections, different scoring scales, and different strengths. Korethi prepares students for each independently. Both begin with a diagnostic that finds specific skill gaps — not a practice test, but a root-cause analysis. For the SAT that means reading comprehension, writing conventions, and math. For the ACT it also includes the Science section, which tests data interpretation rather than science knowledge, and a broader math range including trigonometry. No red scores on either track. Full LD accommodations built in. SAT prep and ACT prep are both available on Starter plans and above. The diagnostic placement for each is free.
What is reading comprehension — and why does Korethi teach it separately from reading?
Reading and reading comprehension are two different skills — and most platforms treat them as one. Reading (decoding) is the ability to sound out and recognize words correctly. Reading comprehension is the ability to understand what those words mean, why the author chose them, and what they add up to. A child can read every word on a page fluently and still not understand the story. Korethi teaches both — explicitly and separately. The comprehension track builds in layers: first literal recall (what does the passage say?), then inference (what does it mean?), then analysis (why did the author write it this way?). It adapts to every child’s level — a 10th grader working on comprehension gets high school-relevant passages at the right complexity, never baby content. This is the skill schools test most on standardized exams and teach least explicitly in class. Korethi fixes that.
Does Korethi really teach financial literacy — and why start before high school?
Yes — and the timing matters more than most parents realize. As of 2025, 30 states now require a standalone financial literacy course for high school graduation — up from just 6 states five years ago. North Carolina and South Carolina are both among them, with requirements taking effect for the class of 2028. But here is the problem: most schools don’t teach it until 11th or 12th grade — if at all — and the quality varies enormously by district. Korethi starts financial literacy in PreK and builds it progressively through 12th grade. A 5-year-old learns needs vs. wants and the concept of saving. A 10-year-old learns budgeting and earning. A 14-year-old learns interest, credit, and how a paycheck works. A 17-year-old learns investing, taxes, student loans, and how to avoid the financial mistakes most young adults make. Every lesson adapts to your child’s level — not their age. And because it is parent-activated, you decide when your child is ready to start. Financial literacy is the one subject schools are legally mandating but least equipped to teach well. Korethi fills that gap — starting years before it matters most. Financial Literacy is included in every Starter plan and above. Free tier families can explore the subject and activate it with a Starter plan when they are ready.
We can’t afford the paid plans. Is there still something real for us?
Yes. The free tier gives real value — not a teaser. Two full weeks of personalized learning across reading, reading comprehension, and writing. Financial Literacy is available on Starter and above, where 30 states now require it for graduation. After that, income-based pricing, community sponsorships, and a pay-what-you-can model mean no child is turned away. Contact us if you’re facing hardship. We mean it.
Is Financial Literacy included in the free plan?
Financial Literacy is available on Starter and above ($19/month). Free tier families get 5 introductory Financial Literacy lessons to explore the subject — enough to see how Phoxyn teaches money skills at your child’s level. To unlock all 500 lessons, from needs vs. wants in PreK through investing and taxes in high school, a Starter plan gives your child the full track. Given that 30 states now require financial literacy for high school graduation, starting early is one of the highest-value decisions a parent can make. Korethi makes it adaptive, age-appropriate, and actually engaging — unlike anything your child’s school is likely to offer before 11th grade.
Do I need to sit with my child while they use Korethi?
No. Korethi is designed to work independently — the AI tutor Phoxyn guides every session. You’ll receive parent reports after each session. For younger children (PreK–K), some light involvement during the first few sessions helps establish the routine, but there’s no “you must supervise” dependency.
Does Korethi teach coding?
Yes. Phoxyn guides every child from unplugged logic games in PreK all the way through real Python and AP Computer Science by high school. The path adapts to how your child learns — no prior experience needed, and every lesson meets them exactly where they are.
When does the full app launch?
Korethi is in active development with a targeted launch later this year. Families who complete the assessment now are our founding cohort — your placement data is real and will seed your child’s path when the app opens. You’ll be first in, at a founding family rate.

Every child deserves this. Full stop.

Korethi offers income-based pricing, community sponsorships, and a free tier designed to demonstrate real value — because quality education should never be gated by a parent’s income.
